Conference Scope
We are glad to invite you to the 15th CIRP Conference on Modelling of Machining Operations, which will be held from June 11-12, 2015 in Karlsruhe, Germany. The conference is a great chance for experts from academia and industry in the field of modelling of machining operations to present and discuss on a very high level their findings, which stimulates and supports the knowledge in this field.
The 15th CIRP Conference on Modelling of Machining Operations continues a long series of conferences, which was founded by our esteemed colleague Prof. I.S. Jawahir. We highly appreciate his support as co-chairman of this conference as in every of the former conferences. In the previous conferences high quality research findings in the area of Numerical and Analytical modelling of Machining and Surface Integrity and Tribological Aspects of Cutting were presented. Topics like modelling of Process Chains and Thermal Effects in Machining Processes and Material Behavior are becoming more important. Therefore, these topics are included in the 15th Conference on Modelling of Machining Operations and will be discussed in separated sessions, which is a chance for the researchers to discuss their findings in detail. The success of the conference is guaranteed by the international scientific committee including the greatest researchers of this field.
